Mark's Project Pages/Audio Projects

Audio Projects:

Here you can find details about my audio projects:

A4 Power Amp:
Another project featuring the LM4780. This is a 4 channel amplifier with options for bi-amping and bridging in a 2-channel system.
LM4780 Micro-Amp:
A miniature amplifier and outboard power supply built to complement the Audax Monitors, using the LM4780....
Audax Speakers:
Maplin have recently been clearing out their stocks of Audax drive units, resulting in some impressive bargains. I couldn't resist buying a load of AP100Z0 4" bass-mid drivers, and have built a pair of mini-monitors using layered birch ply...
GainClone Monoblocks:
Modern chip-amps are much improved and I was so impressed with how they sounded, I decided to build 4 monoblocks based on the National Semiconductor LM3875. NOTE: A work in progress that isn't finished yet...
Hi-Fi Preamp:
My microprocessor-controlled preamp... Built to provide remote-control convenience to the hi-fi, while accomodating 7 sources and 5.1 surround sound without compromising on quality. My first major PIC project.
NICAM Tuner:
Built back in 1991, when NICAM equipment was very expensive!
GCSE Amplifier:
Some pictures of an early project...
